Comilla Victorians set Dhaka Dynamites a target of 200 runs in the BPL final on the back of a thunderous century by dashing opener Tamim Iqbal. Comilla, who lost the toss and elected to bat, scored 199 runs in the final of the sixth edition of the BPL at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, the home of cricket, on Friday evening.

Bangladesh national team opener Tamim Iqbal remained unbeaten on 141 runs off 61 balls.
Comilla were under pressure early in the innings after losing in-form batsman Evin Lewis (6). Later, dashing opener Tamim Iqbal, along with Enamul Haque Bijoy, took Comilla Victorians ahead with a cautious batting start. Then, he overcame the pressure and scored a brilliant century in a stormy batting, bringing the team a big total.

Earlier, the final of the sixth edition of the BPL was held at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, the home of cricket, at 7 pm on Friday. In this, Dhaka captain Shakib Al Hasan won the toss and invited his opponent Comilla to bat.

Comilla Victorians lost Evin Lewis early in the innings when they came out to bat. Tigers pace star Rubel Hossain caught him out LBW and sent him back to the dressing room.

Caribbean star batsman Evin Lewis scored 6 runs in 7 balls with 1 boundary before being dismissed in the opening over. Vijay was dismissed for 24 runs. Shamsur Rahman was also run out for 0 runs.
