Four people, including father and son, killed in Lakshmipur bus crash

Lakshmipur: Four people, including a father and son, were killed when a bus ran over them in Lakshmipur. All of them were passengers in a CNG-powered auto-rickshaw. Two others were seriously injured.
The accident occurred around 11 am on Saturday (September 2) in the Mandari Bazar area of Sadar Upazila on the Dhaka-Raipur regional road.
A total of four people died, including two on the spot and two more on the way to the hospital.
The deceased were identified as Md. Yusuf and his son Iqbal Shakib of Abirkhil village in Sadar upazila, Mizanur Rahman of Purba Jamirtoli village, and autorickshaw driver Momin Ullah. All the victims were passengers in the autorickshaw.
Eyewitnesses and police said that a Raipur-bound Jonaki Paribahan bus from Dhaka hit a CNG-powered auto-rickshaw when it reached the spot. Two people died on the spot and two more died on the way to the hospital.
Lakshmipur's Chandraganj Highway Police Outpost Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Abdul Malek confirmed the death of four people.
