A donation check of the Department of Social Services has been handed over to the treatment of patients suffering from incurable diseases in Banachong Upazila.

On Monday (September 5) at 11 am, the donation check was handed over to the upazila parishad meeting, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Iffat Ara Zaman Urmi (UNO Acting) and Upazila Social Service Officer Saiful Islam Pradhan was present as the chief guest on the proposal of the private members of the local parliament and private members.

Upazila Parishad Chairman Abul Kasem Chowdhury spoke as a special guest while Vice Chairman Hasina Akhter, Joint General of Upazila Aomi League, spoke as special guests. Editor Tajimul Haque Chowdhury, the Upazila Social Service Office, has provided financial support from the Department of Social Services for the treatment of those suffering from incurable diseases including cancer, paralyzed, congenital heart patients, thalassemia, liver cirrhosis.

The Banachong Upazila Social Service Office has already been given a total of Rs 13 lakh to 26 people affected by various diseases from the applicants. Such activities have been launched since the coming of the ruling Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and it is known that this program will continue.
