Rupana Chakma is a proud member of Saf Women's Championship, 2022 title of Bangladesh women's football team. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has directed the concerned authorities to build a house in her hometown Rangamati.
The Prime Minister is currently in New York to attend the 77th conference of the United Nations General Assembly. When the picture of Rupana Chakma's dilapidated cottage went viral on social media, the Prime Minister's press secretary Ihsanul Karim confirmed the poison and said that the Prime Minister of the United States has ordered the construction of the house of Rupana Chakma.
Rangamati Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Mizanur Rahman used to greet Rupana Chakma and Rituparna Chakma with sweets, fruits and flowers.
