DU student dies after falling from roof

A student named Limon Kumar Rat (20) lost his life after falling from the roof of Jagannath Hall of Dhaka University (DU) at seven in the morning.

He died on the roof of a ten-storey building named Santosh Chandra Bhattacharya of Jagannath Hall on Wednesday (November 23) morning.

Limon was a student of the IER (Institute of Education and Research) department of DU, who lived on the fourth floor of Santosh Chandra Bhattacharya Bhavan, in his village or in North Bengal.

Dhaka Medical College Hospital police camp in-charge Inspector Bachchu Mia said that a university student was seriously injured after falling from the roof of the 10th floor of Jagannath Hall in Dhaka University and was quickly rescued and taken to Dhaka Medical where the doctor on duty declared him dead.

The policeman claimed that it is not known how Limon fell from the roof.

Meanwhile, after hearing the news of Limon's death, his classmates and students of the hall rushed to the hospital, and the provost of Jagannath Hall also said that he had gone to the hospital.
