The monthly meeting of the Upazila Law and Order Committee was held in Kamalnagar, Lakshmipur. The meeting was held on Monday (November 28) morning at the Upazila Parishad (Spandan Kola) room organized by the Upazila administration.

The meeting was presided over by Upazila Executive Officer (OEO) and Assistant Commissioner (Land) Ferdous Ara. Upazila Chairman Mezbah Uddin Ahmed Bappi, Vice Chairman Opra Faruk Sagar, Kamalnagar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Solaiman, Upazila Fisheries Officer Abdul Quddus, Women Affairs Officer Morshed Alam, Rural Savings Bank Manager Omar Faruk,
Freedom fighter Shafiq Uddin, UP Chairman Master Saifullah, Maoist Khaleq Saifullah, Yusuf Ali Mia, Kamalnagar Press Club General Secretary AI Tarek, chief officials of various upazila departments and union council chairmen, along with members of the law and order committee were present.

At the beginning of the meeting, there were directive speeches on various issues including maintaining the law and order situation in the upazila, terrorism, militancy, drugs, smuggling, prevention of juvenile gangs, and discussions on illegal brick kilns and diagnostic centers.
