He was brought to the tribunal at 12:24 PM on Sunday (May 17) and was arrested by the police yesterday (Saturday) night from a house on Salimullah Road in Mohammadpur of the capital.

On this day, the former VC of Berobi will be produced in the judicial panel led by the chairman of Tribunal-II, Justice Nazrul Islam Chowdhury, and then the prosecution will appeal to him to be sent to jail.

Earlier, on April 9, the murder of martyr Abu Saeed, crimes against humanity The case was sentenced to 28 people in various cases by Tribunal-2. Among them, Hasibur Rashid was sentenced to 10 years in prison as the main accused, but he was on the run since the fall of Sheikh Hasina's government on August 5, 2024.

On Saturday (May 16) night, he was detained by the local Chhatra Dal leaders and activists on Salimullah Road in Mohammadpur, and later the police arrested him.
