Swadhinata Shiksha Parishad has formed a human chain in Lakshmipur for various demands, including nationalization of jobs of MPO students and teachers and employees of non-MPO educational institutions. They held an hour-long program in front of the District Commissioner's office on Sunday (September 17) morning as part of the central program.
The meeting was chaired by AKM Mahbubur Rashid Chowdhury, convener of the Swadhinata Teachers' Council, and was attended by teacher leaders Ruhul Amin Master, Manjurul Haque, Ahmed Mizanur Rahman, Kamal Hossain, District Bangabandhu Parishad President Shahjahan Kamal, and others.
At the time, the speakers said that they strongly demanded a 51% increase in the Baisakhi allowance for teachers of private educational institutions, full festival allowance, and nationalization of the jobs of teaching and administrative staff. Later, the leaders submitted a memorandum to the Minister of Education through the Deputy Commissioner.
Teachers from Raipur, Ramgati, Ramganj and Kamalnagar upazilas participated in the human chain.
