Lakshmipur: DIG of Chittagong Range of Bangladesh Police Dr. SM Monir-uz-Zaman said, the Pakistan army is behind the violence that has arisen in Arakan State. The Pakistani army is leading this violence. They are using the power of the Razakars of Pakistan in 1971 to create an unstable environment in Bangladesh before the next parliamentary elections and to oppose how our independence and sovereignty can be endangered.

He made these remarks while speaking as the chief guest at an anti-drug and anti-terrorism rally organized by the District Community Policing at the Lakshmipur Adarsh Samad premises on Wednesday (September 20) afternoon.

Lakshmipur District Police Superintendent ASM Mahatab Uddin and the meeting moderated by District Community Policing General Secretary Zakir Hossain Bhuiyan Azad, Lakshmipur District Council Chairman Md. Shahjahan, Lakshmipur Municipality Mayor Abu Taher, Lakshmipur District Awami League President Golam Faruk Pinku, General Secretary Advocate Nur Uddin Chowdhury Nayan, Lakshmipur Muktijoddha Commander (Acting) Kajal Kanti Das, Lakshmipur Government College Principal Main Uddin Pathan and Lakshmipur Community Policing President Syed Ziaul Huda Apu spoke at the meeting.

District Civil Surgeon Mostafa Khaled Ahmed, RAB-11 Laxmipur Camp In-charge Jasim Uddin, Additional Superintendent of Police Anirban Chakma, Assistant Superintendent of Police (Circle) Shah Newaz and Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sadar Police Station Lokman Hossain were present at the time.

Besides, a large number of people from various unions of Sadar, Raipur, Ramganj, Ramgati, Kamalnagar and Chandraganj participated in the rally.
