Lakshmipur: An introduction meeting and inauguration ceremony for the newly elected committee of the Secondary School Teachers' Association has been organized in Kamalnagar, Lakshmipur.
The rally was organized on Wednesday (October 27) afternoon at the Upazila Toaha Memorial Girls' High School grounds.
At the beginning of the program, the leaders of the newly elected teachers' association welcomed the chief guest with flowers.
Lakshmipur-4 (Ramgati and Kamalnagar) MP Mohammad Abdullah Al-Mamun (MP) was the chief guest, with AKM Zahed Billah, president of the Upazila Secondary Teachers' Association and principal of Towaha Smriti Girls' High School, in the chair.
Special guests were Kamalnagar Upazila 14-Party Unity Alliance President Advocate Anwarul Haque, Kamalnagar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (Investigation) Mohammad Alamgir Hossain, Upazila Education Officer (Acting) Mohammad Touhidul Islam, former headmaster Master Mohammad Altaf Hossain, Torabganj Union Parishad Chairman Faisal Ahmed Ratan, and Charmartin Union Parishad Chairman Mohammad Yusuf Ali Mian Bhai.
Meanwhile, at the meeting of the teachers' association, the chief guest assured of providing a grant of 1 lakh taka for the development of the association and later on, financial assistance including land for the construction of the organization's building.
Moderated by Mohammad Mizanur Rahman Manik, Vice-President and Headmaster of the Secondary Teachers' Association, the event was addressed by freedom fighter Master Mohammad Mofiz Ullah, Assistant Teacher of Charjangalia SC High School Tapas Chandra Das, and Assistant Teacher of Fazumiarhat High School Mohammad Abul Kalam, among others.
