Lakshmipur: Relatives of a patient named Fatema Begum (45) have alleged that she died due to wrong treatment at SMK Hospital (Private Ltd.) in Chandraganj, Lakshmipur. Police have arrested four people, including a doctor, in this incident.

The incident took place on Friday (November 17) morning. After the incident, the patient's relatives also alleged that the hospital authorities tried to cover up the matter by resorting to fraud. However, the police station refused to provide any information to the media.

The deceased's brother Ismail Hossain said that Fatema was admitted to SMK Hospital in Chandraganj on Thursday afternoon after suffering from a uterine tumor. Later, Fatema was taken to the operation theater under the supervision of Doctor Kazi Faiza Akhter (Gynecologist and Obstetrician at Green Life Medical College and Hospital). The doctor left the operation theater in the morning and searched for her relatives. At that time, Fatema was asked to be taken to Comilla from that hospital. But Ismail said that Fatema had already died due to wrong treatment.

No one was found at the hospital to inquire about this. Earlier, it was learned that the police had arrested four people from the hospital, including accused Dr. Kazi Faiza Akhter, Professor Dr. Golam Main Uddin, and Alamgir, and taken them to the police station.
