An Argentina fan named Manabendra Kumar Saha (43) died while watching a World Cup football match in Madhukhali, Faridpur.

The incident took place in the early hours of Saturday (December 10) in Ghazna village of Ghazna union of the upazila. He is the son of the deceased Manoj Kumar Saha of the same village.
Neighbor Mithun Kumar Saha said he was a crazy fan of Argentina. After his favorite team Argentina conceded two goals, he fell ill due to severe tension. He later died.

Utpal Kumar Bhowmik, assistant principal of Ghazna Purna Chandra Bahumukhi High School, told Jago News, "On December 9 at 1 am, like everyone else, Manabendra Saha was watching the World Cup football match in Ghazna Bazar. In the very last minute of Argentina's game, the Netherlands scored a goal to tie the game at 2-2. Manabendra Kumar Saha could not accept this tie. Before the start of the tiebreaker, he fell ill due to extreme tension and went home. After that, he had a heart attack. He died within a few minutes. We are saddened by his untimely death. On behalf of the school, we express our condolences to his family."
Ghazna Union (UP) Parishad Chairman Md. Golam Kibria said, Manabendra was a staunch supporter of Argentina. He was watching the game with other spectators at Ghazna Bazaar at night. At the beginning of the tiebreaker, he fell ill due to severe tension. He went home without finishing the game and died of a heart attack on his way home.

In this regard, Dr. Kabir Hossain, a doctor at Madhukhali Upazila Health Complex, said, "A patient was brought in early morning. But he died before being brought to the hospital."
