As a result of heavy rains in Assam, the Brahmaputra-Sonavri river rises due to the rise of water in the river. In Pawta Kujigram, Rajibpur Upazila has gone to the bottom of hundreds of acres of nuts, mash kalai, sulti kalai, rice, pepper and vegetable taluk. Various crops have been planted in water. Farmers have been reduced to water. The crops may not be matured under water.
On the ground, the cropland has been submerged in the low-lying areas of the riverside grasslands of Rajibpur Sadar, No. 2 and Mohanganj Uni.
The affected farmers said that every year, hundreds of acres of crops are destroyed by the river.
About 10 bigha of my paddy, mills and nuts have been submerged.
Mohanganj Union UP member Md Alam said, "About 200 land in my area paddy, mills, nuts have been submerged. I am commenting that the farmers who have suffered the loss need to give government grants."
It should be noted that Rajibpur Upazila Agriculture Officer Rafiqul Islam said, Brahmaputra-Sonavri water if it is water If it is reduced soon, there will be no harm, but I will officially make a strong demand to the higher authorities, so that the affected farmers get financial support from the government treasury.
